Santa Clara Vanguard Announces Meyer As 2015 Assistant Drum Major

Santa Clara Vanguard is pleased to announce the appointment of second-year trumpet, Maycie Meyer, 18, as Assistant Drum Major for the 2015 season. Meyer will assist veteran three-year Vanguard Drum Major Noe Gomez, 21, who will be graduating from the Corps at the end of the summer season.

“I’m happy we are able to elevate Maycie to the Assistant Drum Major position, as she is one of many leaders from Vanguard’s next generation,” said Corps Director and CEO Jeff Fiedler. “This was a very difficult decision, as we had some very promising candidates who will also be members of the Corps’ leadership in the very near future.”
