Academy Announces 2015 Program

Last season, The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps received great acclaim from audiences with our show entitled “Vanity Fair”. A look into the life of the aristocrat, the show featured powerful and familiar music from a variety composers.

In deciding upon the field production for The Academy in 2015, the designers wanted to tie into the great success of the previous year with the next step in this musical lineage. What we found as a perfect extension to the period the next step in time), was the incredible music and visual source material that everyone knows as Mary Poppins. Visions are clear and distinct when listeners take in the music of this classic American musical set in the Edwardian era. We seek to capture those feelings that are so profound to all who grew up listening to this soundtrack and bring them to life in our grand outdoor setting.
