In The News – Blue Stars Excel In Community Appreciation Night

The Forest City area was entertained on Sunday night by the 150 strong Blue Star Drum and Bugle Corps. The group has been in spring training on the campus of Waldorf College for the last three weeks. The camp is a rehearsal and learning experience for Drum Corps International competitions across the United States.

The elite drum corps performed a Community Thank You on Sunday on Bolstorf Field at Waldorf. The group went through a number of routines, broke out in various drum groups, and marched to several well known marching hits as well as some relatively new pieces. Each of the routines requires hours of work and according to Brad Harris, the Director of Operations, the day isn’t necessarily short.
