2016 Carolina Crown Audition Camps Completed

carolina_crown_100x100After a record number of talented musicians from across the country and the world auditioned in South Carolina, Texas, and Florida, Carolina Crown brass and percussion spots are set.

Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, SC, once again served as host to Carolina Crown this weekend. Brass players and percussionists arrived on Friday night, January 15, and after a quick meeting with Tour Director Nancy Coates, spread out across the school for warm ups and sectionals.

Brass Caption Supervisor, Matt Harloff, took the brass through warm up and fingering exercises before sending them off to sectionals for the evening. Front Ensemble players worked with Caption Supervisor Jim Ancona and his team on a percussion ensemble arrangement, while the battery reviewed technical exercises from their warm up packet, written by Caption Supervisor Tom Aungst.
