Spirit Of Atlanta To Debut Hall Of Fame In 2016

Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps is proud to announce the formation of the Spirit of Atlanta Hall of Fame. Beginning in June, the corps will each year induct a select group of people who exemplify the best of our 40-year history. The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be the formal enshrinement to honor their contributions to the Spirit organization over the years. We begin in 2016 with our inaugural Induction Ceremony Saturday evening, June 25 at Five Seasons Westside Restaurant and Brewery in Midtown Atlanta. The ceremony will feature a retrospective history of our corps, a keynote address by Drum Corps International’s Dan Potter, and the first inductees into of Hall of Fame. Expect plenty of surprises and special guests as well at this gala event.

To round out the exciting night, we present the Hall of Fame Celebration Concert featuring the Joe Gransden Big Band. This legendary group of world-class musicians will light up the Five Seasons outdoor event space with their powerful sound, including some famous Spirit of Atlanta melodies. Tickets for both events will go on sale Monday, May 2nd at 10am. There are a limited number of seats for the Induction Ceremony, which also includes the Celebration Concert. Additional Concert-only tickets will also go on sale May 2nd. As a fundraising event for the corps, all proceeds from the evening’s events directly benefit the current Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps.
