In The News – Top Drum Corps Coming To Wethersfield In July

One of the nation’s top drum and bugle corps will be overnighting in Kewanee on their way to a contest in the Peoria area this summer.

Wethersfield High School band director Jay Hagaman said he has been notified that Pacific Crest, based in Diamond Bar, Calif., will arrive at the southside campus early on the morning of July 12, and camp in sleeping bags in the WHS gym. They will rehearse, eat and sleep on the school grounds and athletic field, then leave late on the afternoon of July 13 for the “Show of Shows” drum and bugle corps contest at Metamora High School.
