In The News – Drum And Bugle Corps Offer More Than Music And Motion

If you want to see the best drum and bugle corps that participate in Drum Corps International’s summer tour, you won’t have to travel far. Eight of last year’s top 12 corps at the DCI World Championships will be in the Pittsburgh area at one of two events within the next month.

The first will be “Innovations in Brass: Pittsburgh” June 28, 7:30 p.m., at Gateway High School Stadium in Monroeville.

Co-sponsored by the Bluecoats of Canton, Ohio, and the Gateway High School band boosters, the competition will include performances by the Bluecoats, The Cadets of Allentown (Lehigh County), Pa.; Phantom Regiment of Rockford, Ill., the Boston Crusaders of Boston; and the Crossmen of San Antonio, Texas.
