The Pageant of Drums marches into Michigan City again to unfurl a display of young musical talent.

Colorful and brassy, the event is a product of Indianapolis-based Drum Corps International, which states that it strives to issue a message of “excellence in performance and in life” to millions in their teens or early 20s, and who are involved in performing arts in America.

The 56th annual Pageant of Drums is 7-10 p.m. Sunday at Ames Field, 2501 Franklin St.
