2016 Scout House Invitational Tattoo Tickets Now Available

scout_house_100x100snapd Kitchener/Waterloo, a free monthly print publication and website specializing in photo views of life in the community, will be donating web ads and Facebook posts through their sites to help promote the 7th Annual Scout House Invitational Tattoo to be held on Saturday August 20 in University Stadium, Waterloo. The newspaper is distributed through high traffic exit racks at key retail outlets and current advertiser locations throughout the Kitchener/Waterloo area.

Scout House Band Inc. is using snapd K/W this year to sell tickets to the Tattoo online for the first time. The tickets are available at the same presale price of $12 as from other sources, plus a small service fee $1.69 per ticket. Tickets sold at the stadium on August 20 will cost $15, with children age 12 and under admitted free. Advance tickets are available from Scout House Band members and at several high profile locations throughout the region. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Centre in the Square theatre box office, 101 Queen Street North, Kitchener, or ordered by phone (convenience fee charged) by calling the Centre in the Square Ticket Centre at (519) 578-1570 or 1 (800) 265-8977. Tickets purchased by phone will be available for pick up at the University Stadium box office will call window the night of the Tattoo.

Home Hardware stores in the region are again making advance Tattoo tickets available to customers. Stores and locations are:
Swanson’s Home Building Centre, 166 Park Street, Kitchener;
Preston Towne Home Hardware, 718 King Street East, Cambridge;
Westgate Village Home Hardware, 130 Cedar Street, Cambridge;
Glenbriar Home Hardware, 262 Weber Street N., Waterloo.

The Tattoo will feature a variety of music groups from across southern Ontario and upstate New York. Gates will open at 5:30 pm, with entertainment beginning at 6:30 pm. The line up for the evening field show includes Les Diplomates Drum and Bugle Corps of Quebec City, Quebec; the Hitmen Brass Band of Rochester; the Burlington Teen Tour Band; Kawartha Kavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps of Lindsay; Preston Scout House Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps of Cambridge; the Silver Leaves Brass Ensemble, one of the five Scout House performing units; Preston Scout House Band of Cambridge; the Dixie Demons Jazz Band of Toronto and the Hepcat Dancers of Kitchener.

Preston Scout House Band Inc. is a multi-unit organization, offering individuals of any age the opportunity to “Arrange the soundtrack of your life” in marching arts activities starting as young as age 8 and continuing throughout life. These units are:

*Preston Scout House Cadets youth drum and bugle corps for young men and women up to age 22, Silver Award winners at this year’s Drumline Ontario provincial championships;

*Preston Scout House Band for those over age 18, performing more than 20 concerts, parades and field shows a year across southern Ontario and neighbouring states;

*Silver Leaves brass ensemble, which rehearses in the winter for appearances at drum corps and community events throughout the year;

*Magic of Scout House competitive winter guard, undefeated in its first two seasons of North East Color Guard Circuit contests;

*Heritage Drill Team, with members wearing tight black shorts, knee socks, short sleeved burgundy tunics, white gauntlets and Aussie hats as in the 1950 and ‘60s.
