The Diplomats of Windsor will be making their first appearance in the Tattoo. The group was founded in 2012 as a non-profit musical organization dedicated to providing youths aged 8 – 22 with free music and dance education, with performance opportunities in various regional festivals, events and celebrations.

The Kawartha Kavaliers of Lindsay, Ontario, also appearing for the first time, are one of the most popular performers at parades and other events in southeastern Ontario and upstate New York.

The Tattoo line up this year also includes popular groups from outside the marching arts community. The Dixie Demons were formed in 1984 at Humber College in Toronto for a school function. Three decades later the Dixie Demons still turn heads and set toes tapping with catchy, exciting arrangements of traditional jazz numbers at corporate and private events, concerts, festivals, and clubs. The Hep Cat Hoppers dance group of Kitchener will translate those jazz tunes into dance routines from the Swing Band era. The Hep Cat Hoppers have been nominated for artistic excellence in the performing arts category of sustained development and positive impact on the Waterloo Region community. The group also offers private or group swing dance lessons and DJ services in Waterloo Region.
