Columbians 2016 Season Wrap-Up

columbians_100x100The Columbians Drum and Bugle Corps finished their 2016 season with a fantastic showing in Devner, CO. The Columbians scored a 57.1, good enough for 3rd place (at their season’s conclusion) in DCI’s Open Class division. The 122 member corps began with a Northwest tour and continued on to Boise, ID, Odgen, UT, and culminated in Denver. The Columbians 2016 show, entitled “Clash”, portrayed the turbulent times of the 1960’s and early 1970’s, when social movements of the time were in conflict with America’s involvement in the Vietnam War. The show opened with piece and love movement, followed by the draft and the turbulent times of war, traveled through a post war pain and healing period, and finished up with a hippie movement, including a historic VW bus.
