In The News – Avon Lake Hosted The Shoremen Brass Classic Drum Corps International Competition

The international drum and bugle competition came back to Avon Lake Memorial Stadium for the fifth straight year on August 6. It was their last stop before the finals in Michigan City, Indiana.

The thrilling competition featured eight drum and bugle corps from Buena Park, California to Burlington, New Jersey and Austin, Texas to Sherbrooke, Quebec in Canada. The members are high school and college students who train most of the year for the Drum Corps International (DCI) competition. Training includes physical training as well as musical training.
