Blue Stars 2017 Drum Majors

The Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce the 2017 Drum Major selections. Nessa Guerra and Taylor Smith will lead the corps on and off the field and function as the cornerstone of the organization’s student leadership team.

Nessa Guerra attended Naperville Central High School and was heavily involved in music and marching band from the start. She was the Horn Sergeant of the Marching Redhawks under the direction of DJ Alstadt and Brandon Estes. To further strengthen her musical talents, she started marching with the Blue Stars in 2012 at the age of 16. Her first summer, she played Mellophone and continued on to play trumpet the following summers. In 2015, she became one of the trumpet section leaders.
