In The News – Musicians Compete For Spot On Dubuque’s Colts Drum & Bugle Corps

It’s time for these young musicians to prove themselves.

“A world class (drum) line, I was like I really want to march there,” said Hijlco Lankhorst, from the Netherlands.

Over 200 teens and young adults from all around the world in Dubuque to audition for the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps. “The biggest thing we’ve been talking about this week is quality of sound, not playing with a bright and tight sound, but more of a vocal type of sound,” said Chad Miller, head of the brass team.
