Jim Ott Brass Ensemble (JOBE) OH(IO)! 2017 Season Begins

The 2017 Jim Ott Brass Ensemble (JOBE) OH(IO)! Season is HERE, and we are ready for an exciting season!

Based on membership feedback, our 2017 plan is as follows.:

JOBE OH(IO) will be meeting for rehearsal the 2nd Sunday each month starting in January to practice and prepare our music. Rehearsals will be held at Pontones Music again this year from 1:00p – 6:30p. Our season will end with DCI Soundsport Finals as it has in the previous years, combining our ensemble with the members of JOBE Third Coast and JOBE CA (The Mothership). For Indy this year, we will play the following tunes:

Sweet Georgia Brown
El Gato Triste
Chase the Clouds Away

We’ve already confirmed to play at two DCI shows in Ohio this summer. As we confirm all dates we will release our summer performance schedule by March/April. For our other performances this season we will also play several other tunes, including (but not limited to):

Georgia
Ice Castles
The Bullfighter
Stars & Stripes Forever
Happy Days Are Here Again
The Navy Hymn

Dues this season are set at $100 and includes registration to perform in Indy with the ensemble in Soundsport, a ticket to DCI Finals, your JOBE OH(IO) member polo shirt, and a portion of our share of music licensing rights and insurance we share with the other JOBE Ensembles.
