Florida Brass Drum and Bugle Corps Celebrates its 14th year of entertaining thousands in the sunshine state.

Sunday January 29th is the corps “Open House” at 12:30pm
At the Lakeland Elks Lodge, 4529 Harden Blvd., Lakeland, FL 33183
High school band and college band members are always welcome.
REFRESHMENTS, FUN AND ALOT OF GOOD OLD DRUM CORPS MUSIC

Back in 2003, 7 members of past drum corps across the country started the corps with class The Florida Brass in Lakeland, Florida. Each year the corps has gained members from across the country and locally. From DCI and DCA drum and bugle corps organizations, to high school and college music students. Florida Brass is a non profit organization and raises money for equipment, uniforms and instructors by marching in state wide parades and performing in concerts. Members of Florida Brass range from 17 to 75 years old. The corps practices twice a month in Lakeland at the Elks Lodge in south Lakeland. For directions and schedule see the corps website at, www.floridabrass.org The horn line uses horns in the key of “G” and play music with a Spanish drum corps beat to music from the opera. The events that the corps is hired for is on the weekends year round.
