In The News – Drum Corps International Brings The Beat To Corsicana

“It’s like the NFL of marching band,” said Bre Osbourn, band director at Corsicana High School. Drum Corps International is an organization that is located worldwide and offers students corps marching experience and gives them the opportunity to become better musicians. There are several groups within the Drum Corps International, Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps being one of three based in Texas.

This weekend, the Corsicana High School band hosted the Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps Audition Camp, where students learned the show to be performed in the summer. This year, the group will perform “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” made famous by Kanye West, during its summer session.
