Thurrock Marching Brass January 2017 Jack Petchey Achievement Award

Thurrock Marching Brass is pleased and proud to confirms that Jessica Reynolds is the worthy winner of the January 2017 Jack Petchey Achievement Award.

Jessica joined the organisation shortly after its re-launch in 2010 and has been an active member of the colourguard. Jessica has also been an integral part of the percussion section where she played cymbals but it is colourguard where she has shone over a number of years.
Jessica is incredibly dedicated to working to the best of her ability, and she has been awarded a number of British Championship titles as well as performed at Individuals and Ensembles competitions too. She is a model student here at Thurrock Marching Brass and in our 2016 production, Under New Management, she had a major feature part which helped to project the show to a third British Championship title.

Always willing to help others, her young age defies her skills and capabilities and as we embark on another exciting journey with our 2017 production, Charlie’s Chocolate Factory, Jessica will once again be playing a significant role.

Presenting her certificate at one of our rehearsals we were delighted to have Nikki Casey present from the Jack Petchey Foundation, and we would like to thank her and the foundation for all their continued support.

Speaking of the award, Corps Director, Jay Lindner said “Since I joined the organisation, Jessica has always impressed me. I couldn’t believe her talents for someone so young, and I am absolutely thrilled for her that our members have given her their vote of confidence this time round. This is a well deserved accolade for a student that works hard, is always willing to help and who has developed her skillsets so well over a prolonged period of time. Congratulations Jessica.
