Bridgemen Performing Arts Announce New Director & Board

| |

Following last year’s announcement that the Bayonne Bridgemen Alumni Corps would end their extremely successful run of performances, spanning over 13 years, the Board of Directors decided that even though the Alumni Corps was taking time off, the Bridgemen name would continue. With the announcement of the new Bridgemen Performing Arts Organization, the Board of Directors decided they would need to add a vital piece to complete the newly formed performance organization.
Tom Maiello has been named the new Director of the Bridgemen Performing Arts Organization. Maiello, started his Drum Corps career with the Bayonne Kidets and after marching with the Garfield Cadets, he became a Drill Designer and Visual Instructor with the Bayonne Raiders. After 9 seasons as an educator with the Raiders, he became the Director of the Corps for the next 16 seasons. During his successful tenure, the corps captured DCI Division III Finals Bronze & Silver medals and then won the DCI Division III World Championship in 2005. He was also awarded DCI Director of the Year in 2005 and sat on the DCI Open Class Advisory Committee. Outside of the Marching Activity, Tom is the proud partner of Maiello & Manzi Insurance located in Manalapan, NJ.

“Providing positive and memorable experiences combined with the best educational process has always been a top priority for me. Moving forward with the Bridgemen allows us to deliver exceptional opportunities to those interested in participating in this great activity. New students to seasoned veterans will be part of a long-standing group of alumni and supporters that want the Bridgeman legacy to be included in today’s current activity. New programs like Sound Sport, an Indoor Competitive Drum Line and several other projects are being discussed. I’m extremely happy to be part of this next step in the Bridgemen’s future” added Tom Maiello.

George Lavelle, President of the Board of Directors for the BPAO, said “We couldn’t be happier with our selection. I have known and worked with Tom for over 25 years. His track record and reputation, along with his longevity in this activity were key factors in our decision. We know what he’ll bring to the Bridgemen and we are very excited about our future.”

Along with the New Director announcement, George Lavelle is proud to announce the current BPAO Board of Directors:
George Lavelle – President
John Nadrowski – Vice-President
Liz Ascough – Secretary
Terry Titus – Vice President
