Drum Corps United Kingdom Launch Hall Of Fame

| |

Drum Corps United Kingdom is pleased to announce that it is introducing its own Hall Of Fame as a way of honouring the “legends” of the UK Drum Corps activity ensuring they are remembered for the indelible impressions they have left on the UK activity.

DCUK was formed in 1980 and the original vehicle for recognising the great work of individuals and their contributions to the UK activity was the DCUK Fellowship, which began in 1985, and 18 people were inducted. These eighteen people will be automatically inducted into the DCUK Hall of Fame this year.

The first entrants to the new Hall of Fame will be inducted at the British Drum Corps Championships on Saturday 23rd September.

Nominations are now being invited and full details of how to nominate and the criteria required is available at the Hall Of Fame webpage at http://www.dcuk.org.uk/about/dchof.html. These awards are for recognition for the overall activity and not for recognition for work with individual Corps and the nomination must reflect this.

Fully completed nominations must be received by 11pm on Sunday 20th August 2017 – any received after that date or any received not fully completed will not be considered.

This is an exciting new development for DCUK and a way of saying “thank you” to those past and present that have shaped and/or still are shaping our activity.
