In The News – 7th Regiment Family Calls St. Bernard Home

Ninety-eight young adults are spending their summer sleeping on the floor of the St. Bernard’s gymnasium. They wake up at 7:15 a.m., and it’s lights out at midnight. In between, they exercise and rehearse for a total of 12 hours a day. They belong to the 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps.

The 7th Regiment is a nationally competitive marching band ensemble for percussion and brass players ages 14-22, and this summer it’s made its home at St. Bernard School in Uncasville.
