Southern Ontario’s newest drum and bugle corps is gearing up to make a real impact on the drum corps world. IMPACT of Hamilton drum and bugle corps adult non-competitive corps is the newest branch of the non-profit organization Impact Percussion Inc., and is set to begin rehearsals on Sunday, September 10th from 1-4 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic High School 200 Whitney Ave Hamilton, ON.

A few staff positions have already been put in place with talented people working behind the scenes to get IMPACT of Hamilton in motion. Co-Directors, Jackie Cooke and Laura Jean Falla, both come with several years experience both as marching members, and board members of other drum and bugle corps from around Ontario and New York State. Brass Instructor and Arranger, Eric Bremner, comes with several years of music writing and instruction experience and notable accomplishments in his many years of participation in the drum corps activity. Business Manager, Joey Ransom, and Social and Media Manager, Jade Squire are the newest additions to the staff team. The current staff are actively working on securing a drum instructor. There are also more staff announcements to come soon.

IMPACT of Hamilton’s inaugural 2018 show titled “IMPACTful music through the ages” will open with a mashup of “We Didn’t Start the Fire” and “Piano Man” by Billy Joel. Next we will have people singing and tapping their toes with the Turtles “Happy Together.” The show will slow things down with a stunning rendition of The Beatles “Yesterday,” and will close with the powerful “Thriller” by Michael Jackson.
