| |

The St. Rita’s Brassmen Alumni are pleased to announce Billy Di Paolo as their new Director. He is a Long Island Sunriser Hall of Fame member and has been with the Brassmen Alumni since its inception. He began his Drum Corps career with the St. Joseph Patron Cadets Feeder Corps and Sea Cadets from 1963 to 1971. Afterwards, Billy went on to march nine competitive seasons with the Long Island Sunrisers from 1972-1978, 1980 and 2007, where he proudly partook in 3 DCA Championships.

The Brassmen are also happy to welcome back Ruben Ariola, as its brass arranger and instructor. Additionally, they are pleased to announce that former Sunriser and Skyliner Alumni Corps member, Jack Mc Guinness as percussion instructor.

The corps’ goal for 2018-2019 is to rehearse twice a month in the fall and winter in preparation for the indoor Spring shows. The corps always pays homage to its competitive corps’ instructor Hy Drietzer by reprising some of his arrangements. The Brassmen are seeking new members for all sections, guard, brass, percussion and Drum major. If interested come on down, if you’re not sure pay us a visit and sit in at a rehearsal.

Rehearsals are held at the Edward McKee American Legion Post #131 10-20 Clintonville St. Whitestone, Queens, New York 11357.
