England Brings Excitement And Optimism To Music City

Percussion supervisor and arranger David England returns to Music City in 2018 to join a design team working to deliver a show he says will be creative, unique, yet accessible to all audiences.

“The ideas for the show are based from moods and textures from various sources,” said England, a band director in Murfreesboro, Tenn., who has worked with Music City since 2014 as a percussion consultant, arranger and staff coordinator. “We’ve been listening to pieces such as Magnolia Star by Steve Danyew, Iron Foundry by Alexander Mosolov, and various bluegrass and blues pieces. We’ve also gained ideas for the mood of the show from a specific movie and television series.”
