Indianapolis-based Drum Corps International is investigating whether its staff knew of allegations of sexual misconduct made against the prominent director of a well-known group in Pennsylvania.

On Thursday, the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News published a sweeping report containing allegations of lewd comments, groping and rape against George Hopkins. He is the longtime leader of The Cadets, which has won 20 national and world championships in the marching band competitions.
