Liberty Rub Shoulders With Royalty

Every year, The Queen welcomes thousands into the grounds of Buckingham Palace as a way to recognise and reward public service. This year, Liberty’s leader Dale Willis was one of the guests rubbing shoulders with royalty.

To grab an invite to one of The Queen’s garden parties isn’t an easy task – you have to be nominated by a member of the public and then selected by a Lord Lieutenant. Although we don’t know who nominated Dale, we do know it was for his work with Liberty. “Liberty Drum Corps was started 10 years ago with an idea and a grant request to Northampton Community Foundation”, said Dale. Since then, Liberty has given so many local young people the opportunity to make music, perform and create lifelong friendships.
