Great Lakes Brass Alliance ‘Explosion In Brass’ Show

The recently formed Great Lakes Brass Alliance (GLBA) will burst on to the spring show scene with Explosion in Brass, the group’s inaugural show, set to take place at Depew High School in Depew, New York on Saturday May 11.

GLBA member groups from New York, Pennsylvania and southern Ontario participating include the Hamburg Kingsmen Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps., Mighty St. Joe’s Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps from Leroy New York, St. Joe’s of Batavia Brass Ensemble, Northcoast Brass Company of Erie, Pennsylvania, Silver Leaves Brass of Cambridge, Ontario.

Tickets are $10 each or three for $25. Doors will open at 5 pm, with entertainment to begin at 6 pm. Depew High School is located at 5201 South Transit Road, a short drive south from the New York State Thruway I – 90 exit just east of Greater Buffalo International Airport.

The primary purpose of the recently formed GLBA is to provide entertainment in a venue suitable to the size and type of participating organizations, including groups that use brass instruments, percussion, working and honor color guards. GLBA also aims to conduct marketing efforts for the benefit of members and to support member groups participating in GLBA shows or planning to run their own concerts.
