Launched in 2013 by Marching Band Activity United Kingdom, the Awareness Week runs annually on the first week of May and has seen the most successful series of promotion of Marching bands across all social networks.

Marching Bands have staged extra performances, recruitment evenings and workshops during Marching Band Awareness Week. This ambitious campaign cannot fail to attract major coverage and hopefully help to raise more public awareness of community based marching bands.
