In The News – Twin Town Cadets Reunion To Evoke Memories Of One Man’s Contribution

In the late 1950s, as drum and bugle corps were booming in the region, Frank Milliken, a World War II Navy veteran and trumpet enthusiast, started the Twin Town Cadets, a group of 9- to 21-year-olds from Camden, Rockport, and Lincolnville who spent the next several years traveling around the state and beyond to participate in parades and competitions.

Now, after more than 50 years, the Cadets are having a reunion Sept. 15 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Masonic Hall in Rockport to celebrate and reminisce about the experience that helped shape the lives of many of the members.
