Madison Scouts Select Kilbane, Lannan, Mata-Velazquez, And Modl As Drum Majors For 2020

The Madison Scouts are pleased to introduce the 2020 drum majors: Thea Kilbane, Kameron Lannan, Zayra Mata-Velazquez, and Daniel Modl.

THEA KILBANE

Thea Kilbane (19), of Austin, TX, is marching her first season with the Madison Scouts. She currently attends The University of Texas at Austin where she is pursuing a major in instrumental music education. At school, she studies clarinet with Prof. Jonathan Gunn and Mr. Tyler Webster (MM, AD). Thea has been a member of The University of Texas Longhorn Band and performs with the UT Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble during the school year. In the summer and fall, she works as a field technician at Rouse High School in Leander, TX.

“I am elated to be one of the first female conductors of the Madison Scouts in its 83rd year of foundation. I’m looking forward to enhancing our tradition and to making forever-lasting relationships with everyone involved.”
