Music clubs with a show program should in future be able to rehearse on the site of the former sewage treatment plant in Hahn. This is due to complaints from residents about noise pollution caused by exercises on Mühlenstraße.

“We have regular storms with us,” explained department head Sabine Meyer when she explained the proposed resolution to the Culture and Sports Committee. When the show band Rastede with their groups “Spirit of 52” and young stars rehearses on the site of the former FC facility on Mühlenstraße, residents feel disturbed and complain to the administration. She looked around for alternatives and came across an area at the former sewage treatment plant in Hahn, which until now has only been used by the Rastede-Nord dog sports club and the police for dog training. An examination has shown that the space for practicing is basically suitable for music groups. The sound engineering report stated that no protective measures are required. And previous users have approved the plans.
