When Antonio Sanchez heard the Pilgrim Drum and Bugle Corps last year, he was instantly hooked. The 18-year-old senior at Turner Ashby High School stopped and talked with corps members after their performance in the 2005 Harrisonburg Christmas Parade, and joined the group just days later. The Forgemen had the privilege of being invited to play the National Anthem and entertain the 5,600-strong audience at the Sheffield Steelers v Nottingham Panthers ice hockey match.
