NightBEAT Founding Father Honored
If A+B=C, then Doug Madar + NightBEAT = Carolina Crown.
At the 20th edition of NightBEAT, held July 15th at Charlotte’s Memorial Stadium, the CrownEVENTS committee recognized one of its pioneers…Doug Madar. For 20+ years, Doug’s heart and soul have been poured yearly into NightBEAT, dating back to 1988, even before there was a Carolina Crown.

Kevin Smith, Executive Director of Carolina Crown says:
“In the early years, NightBEAT was the organization’s sole significant fundraiser. The corps would have never developed as fast as it has without the support of the proceeds from many successful NightBEATs. Doug was the inspiration and leadership over those years! And, when he wasn’t handling something with NightBEAT he would be helping me address another need of the corps!”
