Atlanta CorpsVets Staff Announcement
The Atlanta CorpsVets Drum and Bugle Corps is pleased to announce the addition of two great talents to the 2009 CorpsVets brass staff. Jerry McEver and Dr. Tom Gibson. Jerry McEver holds an M.A. in Tuba Performance from Jacksonville State University and has worked as a graduate assistant to Dr. Randall Faust of Auburn University. Mr. McEver has performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, The Atlanta Pops Orchestra, the Atlanta Chamber Orchestra, and several other regional orchestras.
Dr. Tom Gibson has earned a reputation internationally as a performer, conductor, teacher, and clinician. Formerly a trombone soloist with The United States Navy Band in Washington, DC, Dr. Gibson has performed for presidents, senators, prime ministers, and many other VIPs at the White House. He moved to Atlanta in 2000 as the Brass Department Coordinator at Georgia State University and served in this position from 2000 to 2007.
