Atlanta CorpsVets All-Age Drum and Bugle Corps is proud to announce its scholarship offerings for 2009. Out of remembrance of friends lost and in appreciation for our community, CorpsVets offers several scholarships each year to help performers offset the cost of tuition for various marching and scholastic undertakings.
Jason Lowe Memorial Scholarship – Atlanta CorpsVetsThe Jason Lowe Scholarship honors the memory of Jason Lowe, a young CV member and drum corps enthusiast who passed from cancer in the summer of 2001. Jason’s brave spirit and enthusiasm for this activity touched many. To honor Jason’s memory, a scholarship of $250 to offset the expense of member tuition is offered to marching members of any corps. Interested performers must submit an essay describing why they should be considered for the scholarship to scholarships [at] corpsvets [dot] org by Tuesday, March 31, 2009. The 2008 recipient was former CorpsVets Mellophone player Aaron Vanover of the Madison Scouts.
