DCE Championships Again In Kerkrade

Next year’s DCE European Championships will once again be held in Kerkrade. The Parkstad Limburg Stadion will host the Championships for the fourth consecutive year.

Drum Corps Europe is very pleased with the location, which is accessible for many corps. The stadium also meets all the requirements with regards to facilities and there is strong cooperation with both the football club Roda JC and the wider Kerkrade community. In addition, DCE is working on increasing local awareness of the event in the hope of attracting an increasing number of new audience members. For example, this year saw the introduction of local sales points and partnerships with local retailers were set up.

 

“We get a lot of positive feedback from corps, drum corps fans and local audience members”, states Chairman Marcel Matthijsse. “That’s why we did not hesitate in deciding that the Championships will be coming back to the now very familiar stadium next year.”
