Music City Legend Announces 2011 Drum Majors

Timothy D. Williams, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Katie A. Wells, of Franklin, Tennessee, have been selected as the new drum majors of Music City Legend Drum & Bugle Corps. Their selection was announced at the end of the corps’ weekend rehearsal camp on Sunday, February 27th.

Known to MCL members at “iTim”, Mr. Williams, 20, is a Professional Computer Science major at Middle Tennessee State University. A three-year member of the brass section on mellophone and soprano, he is also the corps’ brass quartermaster. Last fall, he was elected Secretary of the corps, the youngest member of the corps ever to serve on its board of directors. Formerly the drum major of the Coffee County High School band, he is member of the MTSU Band of Blue and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity, which he serves as Historian and Webmaster. He is employed by The Murfreesboro Post as their Director of Circulation and Webmaster. In addition to his outside activities with the drum corps, Mr. Williams is a certified weather spotter for the NOAA National Weather Service.
