Big, Loud & Live 8 Movie Theater Attendance Figures

Drum Corps International nearly equaled its 2010 record-setting movie theater attendance benchmark in 2011, with 38,722 drum corps fans attending “Big, Loud & Live 8,” the broadcast of the DCI World Championship Prelims on August 11.

The DCI World Championships premiered on the big screen in August of 2004. Through partnership with National Cinemedia’s Fathom Events, Drum Corps International has grown the reach of this annual event from just 44 theaters in its first year, to a record 543 in 2011.
