Santa Clara Vanguard Winter Guard Announces 2013 Program

We are moved by things felt, but not always seen. The SCV Winter Guard presents SILENT VOICES, an exploration of how our collective past can inform our present, and allow us to journey forward.

The 2013 SCV Winter Guard program is under the direction of Denise Bonfiglio. Jon Vanderkolff is the program coordinator. Jon is collaborating with designers Carol Abohatab, Jim Moore, Greg Lagola and Wayne Harris to create this year’s program. The guard was awarded the silver medal in WGI World Class competition in 2012 for their presentation of ‘John Henry – A Story for our Time’ and won the WGI World Championship in 2009 with their presentation of ‘The Kiss’ and 2011’s ‘All Good People.’ The guard has been competing in WGI competition since the winter of 2006.
