These lyrics from the “Les Misérables” tune “Red & Black” fit the mood perfectly here in Tollhouse. With five days standing between Santa Clara Vanguard and the beginning of the 2013 Drum Corps International competitive summer, we are in the final week of pre-tour. The energy, focus, and dedication of this group has been extremely high, and it continues to climb. When the corps steps onto the field at the MidCal Champions Showcase on Friday night, there will be no doubting their ability to put on an amazing performance. They’ve been working on this show since the first auditions in November, and now it’s time to shine.
