Bucs And Brass Take The Competition Off The Field

Drum Corps Associates Open Class competitors Minnesota Brass and Reading Buccaneers have announced that they have taken their friendly rivalry off the field with a spirited fundraising challenge, in which each corps will raise as much money as possible through secure online donations through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 25.

Minnesota Brass will dedicate all funds raised towards the purchase of new uniforms for the 2014 season. The Buccaneers will use funds to replace aging equipment, possibly an equipment truck. The winning corps gets bragging rights and, as a sign of the corps’ mutual respect and friendly competition a visit from the other corps’ director at DCA Championships in Annapolis over Labor Day weekend, dressed in the costume of the winning corps’ choice.
