2014 Crossmen Blog Day 4

We are steadily making our way west across the country to our first show in California. We traveled the 305 miles from Kermit to Las Cruces in good order. The initial part of tour each summer is used not only as a fourth week of spring training in preparation for contests but also as training for the corps as far as what a great drum corps does while on the road. Unloading our sleep stuff at the new destination, getting on the floor as quickly as possible in order to obtain the maximum amount of floor time each day is part of the formula for remaining well rested.
