In The News: Carolina Crown Drum Corps Coming To Wakefield

The Wakefield Independence Day Committee and the West Side Social Club are proud to announce that defending Drum Corps International World Champions, Carolina Crown, are coming to Wakefield this Fourth of July. Carolina Crown, from Fort Mills, S.C., is coming fresh of its 2013 DCI World Championship. They scored the highest of all DCI Bands last August at the DCI World Finals in Indianapolis.

“I’m so glad that the Independence Day Parade Committee and the West Side were able to work together to bring Carolina Crown here to Wakefield for this 4th of July”, said WIDC Chairman Patrick Sullivan. “While its too bad that we couldn’t have a full parade this year in Wakefield, this will help to fill the void left by the absence of the parade and will give a great preview of what’s to come in next year’s parade.”
