For the next 17 days it will be “show time” once a day for the Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps of Milwaukee.
That’s how long it will be before the musicians have a day off. And they can forget about sleeping in beds until August.
Eighty days, from late May to Aug. 10, the corps travels across the eastern half of the United States on a grueling schedule that would grind a rock band into so much pea soup.
