Our lifelong friend, Michael “Red” Corso passed away early this morning. Red was DCA’s longest-serving officer, first elected Treasurer in 1974, and continually re-elected for the last 40 years. The Carolina Crown marching band was performing at Lucas Oil Stadium during the Drum Corps International competition in Indianapolis when snare drummer Ryan Hall dropped his instrument. We’re terribly sad to announce that our long-time friend and DCA treasurer Michael “Red” Corso is in a Rhode Island hospital fighting for his life.
