York County Honor Band Performs At Winthrop

carolina_crown_100x100In tandem with Carolina Crown’s Partnership in Education, area middle school band students participated in clinics and perform in concert at Winthrop University of Rock Hill, SC, as part of the 17th annual York County Honor Band.

The more than 100 musicians were selected back in December from over 300 applicants. They performed on Wednesday evening, January 27, at the Byrnes Hall on the campus of Winthrop University. The audience was treated to an exciting concert, highlighted by selections from composers Johnnie Vinson, Ed Kiefer, Steven Bryant, Carl Fischer and Bill Locklear.
