2017 Mandarins Caption Heads Chris Tomsa, Mark Trulson, And Michael Samson

The Mandarins are pleased to announce that Chris Tomsa will return to the corps taking on a larger role as brass co-caption head along with returning co-caption head Mark Trulson while Michael Samson is joining the corps as visual caption head for the 2017 season.

The pageantry arts have been Chris Tomsa’s passion for four decades as a performer, instructor, arranger and adjudicator. Chris has instructed and arranged for many of the world’s finest drum and bugle corps including the Madison Scouts, Phantom Regiment, Glassmen, Colts, Capital Regiment and 27th Lancers. In his years at Madison, Chris mentored with DCI Hall of Fame brass instructor James Elvord where they won three DCI High Brass titles together, as well as the Drum Corps International World Championships.
