In The News – Drum Corps International Comes Back To Charleston
Six marching bands were playing in Charleston Monday night, but they were not your average marching bands.
“these guys out here today are performing at the next level up,” said Matt Sowers, Poca Marching Band’s percussion teacher.
These bands are part of Drum Corps International, which is also known as marching music’s major league. These six bands, and several others, travel 12,000 plus miles across the country during the summer playing shows.
