The new board of Youth Education in the Arts fired embattled CEO George Hopkins after waiting for him to submit a formal letter of resignation, the organization said Thursday.

Hopkins left the organization, which operates The Cadets drum and bugle corps, U.S. Bands and other youth dance and music troupes, after numerous women, including marchers and YEA employees, accused him of sexual misconduct.
