Blue Knights Alumni Spotlight: Lisa Crider

When I was asked to write about my experience as a Blue Knight, I really didn’t know where to start. I was honestly shocked that I was even selected due to my unique status with the organization, but I am truly honored to have the opportunity to share what amazing experiences and opportunities Blue Knights has provided me with.

As a Colorado native and someone who’s family has always been involved in the band world, I had dreamed of wearing a Blue Knights uniform ever since I could remember. I grew up going to Drums Along the Rockies and being in awe of the talent and hardwork each member possessed. When other circumstances got in the way of that dream and I aged out of marching WGI with Rise Percussion, my chance to put on those 10 white dots was gone. Little did I know that that was in fact incorrect.
